On reaching Jaipur we check into a 5 Star hotel. After lunch we drive around the city visiting the opulent City Palace. Built in a fusion of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture, this beautiful palace offers you glimpses of the luxurious ambience of the Jaipur kings' lifestyles and their fierce devotion to the land. A well spent afternoon. We drive you back to your hotel for a sumptuous dinner and a night's rest.

Day 2: After a wholesome breakfast we visit the Hawa Mahal a huge structure of red and pink sandstone intricately bordered by white borders and motifs with latticed windows from where the princesses used to watch the city's hustle and bustle below. From here we head on to the Amber Fort that stands high above on a craggy cliff overlooking the city and the Delhi Jaipur Highway. A glassy lake mirrors a mesmerising image of this awesome fort. On entering this fort we visit the Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) where the entire roof and walls are made up of tiny mirrors that reflect a thousand images of those within the hall. We then head on to the Jai Mandir (temple) the royalty's own temple where kings, queens, princes and princesses have worshipped for hundreds of years.

Return to the hotel for lunch. After lunch we head to the gigantic Jaigarh Fort a purely military structure that is amazingly well preserved. Within the fort stand luxurious palaces, beautifully landscaped gardens and water reservoirs besides a granary, a cannon foundry and an armoury.
